Overview<\/h2>\n

UN Women\u2014under the WYDE | Women\u2019s Leadership<\/strong> initiative funded by the European Union\u2014invites proposals from civil society and women\u2019s rights organizations to advance women\u2019s full and effective political participation and decision-making<\/strong> at all levels. This round focuses on social norms change<\/strong>, intergenerational and intersectional leadership<\/strong>, and movement building<\/strong> aligned with the Generation Equality Action Coalition on Feminist Movements & Leadership (AC6)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Despite decades of progress, women\u2014especially young women and those facing intersecting forms of discrimination\u2014remain underrepresented in public life. This call backs organizations that are changing narratives, strengthening leadership pipelines<\/strong>, and mobilizing feminist movements<\/strong> so that women are recognized as equally legitimate political actors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What This Call Funds (Priority Focus Areas)<\/h2>\n

Projects should contribute to WYDE Outcome 1<\/strong>:
\u201cLeadership and networking of women in public life are strengthened, including through existing dialogue mechanisms, at global, regional, and local levels.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eligible strategies include (choose one or combine, as relevant to your context):<\/p>\n

    Build Women\u2019s Political Leadership Capacity<\/strong>
    Develop\/adapt training, leadership academies, toolkits, or methodologies\u2014especially for underserved groups<\/strong> (e.g., women with disabilities, Indigenous women, LGBTQI+ women).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Mentorship & Intergenerational Networks<\/strong>
    Pair emerging and youth leaders (18\u201335)<\/strong> with seasoned advocates; equip them for collective action<\/strong>, advocacy, and coalition building (including smart use of digital tools).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Social Norms & Narrative Change<\/strong>
    Engage men and boys<\/strong>, media, and community leaders; address gendered disinformation<\/strong>; run evidence-based campaigns<\/strong> that shift attitudes and reduce violence against women in public life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Feminist Movement Strengthening<\/strong>
    Lead consortia<\/strong> and sub-partnerships<\/strong> that expand networks, share knowledge, and build organizational capacity<\/strong> across movements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Increase Women\u2019s Access to Decision-Making<\/strong>
    Advocate for structural reforms; create evidence (e.g., baseline\/perception studies); open channels for consultation on policies and legislation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
