The Amujae Initiative is redefining leadership across Africa. Launched by the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development (EJS Center) in 2020, the Initiative is dedicated to identifying, empowering, and elevating exceptional African women leaders in public service and political life.<\/p>\n
More than a leadership program, Amujae is a purpose-driven movement. Its mission is to equip African women to rise confidently to the highest levels of public leadership\u2014and bring other women along with them.<\/p>\n
Each year, up to 15 trailblazing African women are selected to join a powerful network of leaders shaping the continent\u2019s future. Successful applicants are already active in public leadership and demonstrate the vision, courage, and capability to lead at the highest levels.<\/p>\n
Since launch, the EJS Center has supported four cohorts of Amujae Leaders\u201455 dynamic women from 24 African countries. These leaders are driving impact in government, public institutions, diplomacy, civil society, and beyond.<\/p>\n
Amujae Leaders gain access to a lifelong leadership network, strategic coaching, and mentorship from some of the world\u2019s most accomplished women\u2014including former Heads of State.
