In collaboration with the Alliance for Gender Equality in Europe (AGEE), GirlDreamer is proud to introduce a dedicated funding opportunity for young women of colour-led organisations in the UK. The DREAM FUND x AGEE Fund is a powerful initiative designed to provide support, visibility, and resources to those who are often overlooked in traditional funding spaces.<\/p>\n
GirlDreamer, founded in 2016 with just \u00a350 and a dream, knows firsthand the hurdles of navigating the grant landscape as a women of colour-led NGO. Years of persistence, learning, and rejection have shaped our journey and inspired us to reimagine what inclusive, accessible funding could look like.<\/p>\n
The COVID-19 pandemic catalyzed our first step into funding, enabling us to support 22 incredible organisations with \u00a310,000 in small grants. Encouraged by the impact, we launched our merch store and the Dream Kit collage, eventually generating enough profit to launch the Dream Fund. Our mission: back women of colour who are changing the world, one bold idea at a time.<\/p>\n
