Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the Delegation represents the interests and values of the European Union in Canada?<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong><u>We offer:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong>Traineeships<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>of up to<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>6 months<\/strong>\u00a0within the following sections of the EU Delegation\/Office to Country, starting as from 15 October 2025 but no later than 30 November 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Traineeship in the Political, Press and Information Section (PPI):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Main tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare the daily Press Review<\/li>\n<li>Support the Section\u2019s research and reporting on topical issues in EU-Canada relations<\/li>\n<li>Assist in developing social media content for the Delegation\u2019s social media pages<\/li>\n<li>Support the preparation and implementation of public diplomacy activities of the Delegation<\/li>\n<li>Support coordination with EU Member States (political, press and information and consular)<\/li>\n<li>Other ad hoc tasks to support the work of the PPA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Traineeship in the Trade Section (TRADE):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Main tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare the daily Press Review<\/li>\n<li>Support the section&#8217;s research and reporting on Canadian economic, trade and environment\/climate policies.<\/li>\n<li>Support colleagues in monitoring the implementation of the EU-Canada Comprehensive Trade and Economic Agreement (CETA), including through research of CETA business success stories<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to promoting EU-Canada cooperation on environment\/climate, trade or economic issues.<\/li>\n<li>Other ad hoc tasks to support the work of TES<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong><u>We look for:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong><u>Qualifications or special requirements<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong>For the traineeship in the Political Press and Information section:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated interest in the areas of international relations, communications and diplomacy or background in the fields of international relations, politics or communications<\/li>\n<li>Academic knowledge or professional experience of the Canadian political landscape an asset<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical and writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent command of written and spoken English and French<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of common social media tools<\/li>\n<li>Individual drive and team spirit<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a multicultural environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong>For the traineeship in the Trade and Economic section:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated interest in the area of economics, trade or background in the fields of international relations, international economics, international trade and\/or business administration<\/li>\n<li>Academic knowledge or experience related to EU-Canada environment\/climate, trade or economic relations an asset<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical and writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent command of written and spoken English and French<\/li>\n<li>Individual drive and team spirit<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a multicultural environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong><u>How to apply?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Candidates must apply to the e-mail address\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:delegation-canada-traineeship@eeas.europa.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delegation-canada-traineeship@eeas.europa.eu<\/a>\u00a0and send the following documents:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>A detailed standard Europass curriculum vitae (<strong><u>CV<\/u><\/strong>)\u00a0<a class=\"ext\" title=\"(opens in a new window)\" href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/europass\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-extlink=\"\" aria-label=\"(link is external)\">https:\/\/europa.eu\/europass\/en<\/a>\u00a0(CVs in other format will not be considered)<\/li>\n<li>a cover letter describing why you want to participate in a EU traineeship<\/li>\n<li>and an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeas.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/2025\/documents\/Canada_Application%20form_Fall%202025_1.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-entity-type=\"media\" data-entity-uuid=\"938ced76-bc63-46a3-a5c8-041cd5765599\" data-entity-substitution=\"media\">application form<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong><u>Please mention in the subject of your e-mail<\/u><\/strong>: Funded Traineeship &#8211; Name\/Acronym of the Section (you may only apply to 1 traineeship per delegation, however based on your profile, the delegation could offer you a traineeship in another section).<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Important information to read before applying<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong><u>Before applying<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0you are requested to examine the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeas.europa.eu\/eeas\/traineeship-delegations-european-union_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dedicated website<\/a>\u00a0as well as the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeas.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/admin2017_28_of_21.12.2017_0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general eligibility criteria<\/a>\u00a0for a paid traineeship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 \u2013 Paid traineeship).<\/p>\n<p>Each selected trainee will receive a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeas.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/2024\/ADMIN%282024%29%2043%20FINAL%20of%2022.11.24.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monthly grant<\/a>\u00a0to cover living expenses. All costs related to travels, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\">Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email.
