Yet, these systems face increasing vulnerability due to climate change, soil degradation, water scarcity, and biodiversity loss. To help address these challenges, the <strong data-start=\"737\" data-end=\"774\">National Geographic Society (NGS)<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"809\">PepsiCo<\/strong>, has launched an <strong data-start=\"827\" data-end=\"890\">Open Call for Proposals: Building Resilience in Agriculture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"1225\">This funding opportunity is part of the <strong data-start=\"935\" data-end=\"967\">Food for Tomorrow initiative<\/strong> and is designed to support innovative, science-based, and field-tested projects that help strengthen the resilience of farms, farming communities, and ecosystems. Proposals must focus on regenerative and nature-positive solutions with measurable outcomes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1300\">The deadline for submission is <strong data-start=\"1258\" data-end=\"1297\">September 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1305\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1332\">Opportunity Overview<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1334\" data-end=\"1647\">This grant program seeks to identify and support projects that can be applied in real-world agricultural contexts and that demonstrate measurable impact. Projects must include a <strong data-start=\"1512\" data-end=\"1551\">predominant field or land component<\/strong> and directly address farming, farming communities, or landscapes adjacent to cultivated land.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1649\" data-end=\"1786\">The main goal is to make agriculture more resilient to climate change and extreme weather events while advancing sustainable least two or more of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1932\" data-end=\"2589\">\n<li data-start=\"1932\" data-end=\"2044\">\n<p data-start=\"1934\" data-end=\"2044\"><strong data-start=\"1934\" data-end=\"1950\">Soil Health:<\/strong> Build fertility and structure to support productive ecosystems both above and below ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2045\" data-end=\"2181\">\n<p data-start=\"2047\" data-end=\"2181\"><strong data-start=\"2047\" data-end=\"2085\">Climate Mitigation and Adaptation:<\/strong> Enhance resilience to climate impacts, sequester carbon, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2182\" data-end=\"2315\">\n<p data-start=\"2184\" data-end=\"2315\"><strong data-start=\"2184\" data-end=\"2205\">Watershed Health:<\/strong> Improve water efficiency and reduce nutrient runoff to ensure healthy watersheds for farms and communities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2316\" data-end=\"2452\">\n<p data-start=\"2318\" data-end=\"2452\"><strong data-start=\"2318\" data-end=\"2335\">Biodiversity:<\/strong> Protect and restore biodiversity in agricultural landscapes, including forests, pollinators, and soil microbiomes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2453\" data-end=\"2589\">\n<p data-start=\"2455\" data-end=\"2589\"><strong data-start=\"2455\" data-end=\"2480\">Improved Livelihoods:<\/strong> Strengthen farmer livelihoods with access to training, decision-making, and sustainable farming resources.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2591\" data-end=\"2594\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"2596\" data-end=\"2621\">Eligibility Criteria<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2623\" data-end=\"2714\">To qualify for this funding opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2716\" data-end=\"3259\">\n<li data-start=\"2716\" data-end=\"2746\">\n<p data-start=\"2718\" data-end=\"2746\">Be <strong data-start=\"2721\" data-end=\"2743\">over the age of
