This program creates a global network of female scientists, engineers, and innovators who return home to drive socio-economic development.<\/p>\n<h2>Who Can Apply?<\/h2>\n<p>This fellowship is specifically designed for <strong>female students and researchers<\/strong> from eligible developing countries pursuing advanced STEM education.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Academic Level<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing for a PhD degree or post-doctoral research in STEM fields<\/li>\n<li>Master&#8217;s level studies are NOT funded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Citizenship<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Female citizen of a developing country where women are underrepresented in STEM<\/li>\n<li>Must NOT hold dual citizenship with a developed country<\/li>\n<li>If awarded and later obtain developed country citizenship, grant will be discontinued<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>University Status<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enrolled, admitted, or applied to a host university\/research institute abroad<\/li>\n<li>Must have already applied to a university (applications no longer accepted if you haven&#8217;t applied yet)<\/li>\n<li>For sandwich courses, final degree must be awarded by host university abroad or jointly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Academic Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold an excellent academic record<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate commitment to returning home after studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Teaching Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven record of teaching experience in your home country<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to returning home for academic\/research positions, STEM entrepreneurship, or policy making<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrate leadership skills and active community outreach<\/li>\n<li>Track record in encouraging girls and women into STEM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Eligible Countries (2025-2026)<\/h2>\n<p>Applications are accepted from female citizens of these developing and emerging countries:<\/p>\n<p>Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Belize, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Congo (DRC), C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, Djibouti, Dominica, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Honduras, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Kiribati, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Micronesia, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Rwanda, Sao Tome &amp; Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Suriname, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> The eligible country list is reviewed annually and may change based on development status fluctuations.<\/p>\n<h2>Selection Criteria<\/h2>\n<p>Successful applications go through four selection rounds.
