The Kristina Martin Charitable Trust (KMCT) has announced a new funding round with \u00a3400,000 available to UK-registered charities focused on improving mental health outcomes. Applications open on 24 October 2025<\/strong> and close on 12 December 2025<\/strong>. Grants of up to \u00a350,000<\/strong> are available to eligible organisations working under the Trust\u2019s four key funding themes.<\/p>\n

About the Funding Opportunity<\/h3>\n

The Kristina Martin Charitable Trust is committed to supporting charitable initiatives that foster hope, resilience, and mental well-being across the United Kingdom. This funding round continues the Trust\u2019s mission by targeting projects that address critical social issues contributing to poor mental health.<\/p>\n

While the Trust welcomes applications from all UK-registered charities with a mental health focus, this round places special emphasis on innovative and youth-driven initiatives. Both long-established and newly formed organisations are encouraged to apply, particularly those proposing creative, scalable approaches to mental health support.<\/p>\n

Funding Priorities<\/h3>\n

This round will prioritise projects that address one of the following four areas:<\/p>\n

1. Breaking the Link Between Homelessness and Poor Mental Health<\/h4>\n

Grants under this theme will support charities that deliver sustainable solutions to help people experiencing homelessness while improving their mental well-being. Projects that combine housing support with ongoing mental health services will receive priority consideration.<\/p>\n

2. Reducing the Effects of Social Media on Mental Health<\/h4>\n

The Trust seeks to fund charities developing innovative ways to reduce the negative mental health impacts of social media. Eligible initiatives may focus on guiding people from online spaces toward meaningful, real-world community engagement through volunteering, mentorship, education, or employment. The Trust particularly welcomes youth-led projects and new approaches addressing the digital dimensions of mental health.<\/p>\n

3. Reducing Social Isolation Through Community Hubs<\/h4>\n

Under this theme, the Trust will support charities that manage or operate community hubs aimed at combating loneliness and social exclusion. Priority will be given to initiatives that demonstrate measurable improvements in users\u2019 mental health, engage diverse volunteers, and involve young people in leadership or design roles. Funding may cover project-specific costs or related core expenses tied to program delivery.<\/p>\n

4. Improving Mental Health Outcomes for Children and Young People<\/h4>\n

Charities working to enhance the early identification and support of mental health concerns in children and young people are invited to apply. Projects may include training for educators and parents, early intervention programs, or youth activities promoting resilience and positive well-being.<\/p>\n

Funding Details<\/h3>\n

A total of \u00a3400,000<\/strong> is available, allocated equally across the four funding themes. While most grants will not exceed \u00a350,000<\/strong>, the final award amount will be at the discretion of the trustees based on the strength and impact of proposals.<\/p>\n
