This opportunity is designed to strengthen national-level work in six priority regions: <strong>Brazil, India, Ethiopia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and the Pacific Small Island Developing States (SIDS).<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>Why This RFP Matters<\/h3>\n<p>Climate change is increasingly recognized as a <strong>driver of mental health challenges<\/strong>. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, displacement, and loss of livelihoods contribute to stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. By integrating mental health into climate policies, this RFP seeks to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure <strong>holistic national responses<\/strong> to climate change.<\/li>\n<li>Empower communities to build <strong>resilience and adaptive capacity<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen advocacy that connects <strong>environmental sustainability with human well-being<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Promote <strong>equity and inclusion<\/strong>, ensuring that vulnerable populations\u2014especially women, youth, and marginalized groups\u2014are represented in policy dialogues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Objective of the RFP<\/h3>\n<p>The primary goal of this initiative is to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support <strong>six national organisations<\/strong> in embedding mental health considerations within climate change policies.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that climate policies also reflect the mental health impacts of climate change, creating a <strong>two-way integration<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Promote <strong>national ownership<\/strong> of the project by prioritizing <strong>local civil society organisations (CSOs)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen advocacy efforts that highlight the intersection of <strong>climate resilience and mental well-being<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Eligible Countries<\/h3>\n<p>Organisations based in the following locations are eligible to apply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Brazil<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>India<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ethiopia<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pakistan<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Philippines<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pacific SIDS region<\/strong>, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Cook Islands<\/li>\n<li>Federated States of Micronesia<\/li>\n<li>Fiji<\/li>\n<li>Kiribati<\/li>\n<li>Nauru<\/li>\n<li>Niue<\/li>\n<li>Palau<\/li>\n<li>Papua New Guinea<\/li>\n<li>Marshall Islands<\/li>\n<li>Samoa<\/li>\n<li>Solomon Islands<\/li>\n<li>Tonga<\/li>\n<li>Tuvalu<\/li>\n<li>Vanuatu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Funding and Duration<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Each selected <strong>national partner<\/strong> will receive <strong>\u00a368,898 GBP<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The funding covers a <strong>three-year period<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Project start date:<\/strong> February 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This financial support is intended to empower organisations to implement <strong>sustainable advocacy strategies<\/strong>, strengthen <strong>policy dialogues<\/strong>, and build <strong>cross-sector collaborations<\/strong> that address both climate and mental health challenges.<\/p>\n<h3>Application Materials<\/h3>\n<p>Applicants will have access to the following documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PDF with the RFP<\/strong>: Includes detailed instructions on how to apply, eligibility criteria, and key dates.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Draft contract<\/strong>: Outlines the terms and conditions that successful applicants will be required to sign.\n<ul>\n<li><em>Note<\/em>: Any contracting issues should be raised during the application stage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Deadline for Submission<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Final proposal submission deadline:<\/strong> <strong>7 December 2025 at 11:59 PM CET<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Late submissions will not be considered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>This RFP represents a <strong>unique opportunity<\/strong> for national organisations to lead transformative advocacy work at the intersection of <strong>climate change and mental health<\/strong>.
