Through sessions delivered by leading governance faculty, board recruitment experts, and women currently serving on healthcare boards, participants gain practical skills, strategic direction, and a clear roadmap into board service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Structure &amp; Time Commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Fellowship spans <strong><b>four months<\/b><\/strong>, requiring approximately <strong><b>10 hours<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0of total participation. It includes <strong><b>t<\/b><\/strong><strong><b>hree core sessions<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><b>one optional session<\/b><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>Session 1: Boardroom Basics<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tuesday, March 3rd | 8:00\u201310:00 am | Virtual<\/p>\n<p>A governance \u201cLegal 101\u201d introducing the fundamentals of non-profit boards and the responsibilities of Directors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>Session 2: Rise to the Top<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tuesday, April 21st | 12:00\u20132:00 pm | Virtual<\/p>\n<p>A practical workshop on navigating the board recruitment process\u2014crafting a board bio, strengthening applications, and preparing for interviews.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>Session 3: Leadership and Influence<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, June 17th | 4:00\u20136:30 pm | In-person, Toronto<\/p>\n<p>A panel discussion with women leaders currently serving as board directors and officers in the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>Program Cost<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the generosity of program partners Mirams Becker and Miller Thomson LLP, the Fellowship is offered at no cost to participants.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants are responsible only for travel expenses for the in-person Toronto session.
